Portuguese Feijoada
This feijoada recipe we bring to you is very traditional, please request this dish to try it out for your lunch!
Feijoada is made with a mixture of beans, beef and pork meat. It is usually served with a braised cabbage, other ingredients and other meat crumbs. The feijoada is often considered the symbol of Portuguese cuisine, by merging European and African gastronomic characteristics.
Traditional Matapa
We make the famous Mozambique signature dish called Matapa. This stew is especially popular and may include shrimp or crab but inexpensive.
The basis of Matapa is cassava leaves cooked in powder peanut sauce and coconut milk. It is hearty, slightly sweet (from the coconut and prawns) and has a distinct flavour found no where else, from the cassava leaves. We also use kale or couve or other organic herbal vegetables.
Platter Special
Whether you have it on a charcuterie plate or a board, it is a great quality grilled, smoked, roasted, and cooked variety of meats.
Our braai cooks meat slowly and incorporates sauces or marinades first, infusing a smoky taste to make meat extra tender. Our platter includes grilled meat with very little oil, resulting in that crispy, charred, caramelized surface and those picture-perfect grill marks.
Bar Special: Cordials
We offer fruit cordials by infusing fruits and botanicals in a flavoured syrup to create unique bursting drinks with unforgattable flavour.
Our cordials often contain fruit juice from concentrate with strong and fruity taste, whilst their main purpose is to be enjoyed mixed with water, the Barman can be incredibly versatile with alcohol infusion.
Bar Special: Tipo Tinto & Rum
This is a refreshing and fruity beverage that combines rum with the sweet, refreshing taste of raspberry. This spirit cooler is perfect for those who enjoy a light and flavored drink.
Simple but Splendid! Tipo Tinto is a classic white rum that originates from Mozambique. Ideal for refreshing cocktails and the signature name is R&R (Rum & Raspberry). It's a sweet and spicy blend, spicy with a long-lasting after taste
